During the IRK conference some participants were able to climb the tower of the commandant's office and there was an extensive boat tour to experience Ravensbrück and its dimensions from the waterfront.
We drove over the Schwedtsee past the memorial with the crematorium, the wall of nations and “die Tragende”, in order to then get on to the Havel to the docks of the railway ferry and the water access of the girls concentration camp Uckermark.
This was made possible by the generous donations of the “International Ravensbrück Circle of Friends” and the “Association of the Left Party in the Bundestag”.
The committee also visited the monument to the Polish women in the Fürstenberg cemetery.
The conference was rounded off by a reception by the mayor of the city.
