Berlin/GDR, A Provisional Ravensbrück Committee with representatives from 13 countries meeting 1956 in Berlin discussed plansfor a memorial site and a museum in Ravensbrück. The German survivor Erika Buchmann made initial proposals for designing a museum. Later she became the main author of the first exhibition.
A resolution against the approval of the concentration camp doctor Herta Oberheuser as a pediatrician in the FRG was passed.
