The memory of former prisoners of Nazi concentration camps was honoured in the Don capital. This was communicated to KP Rostov-on-Don by the Rostov Regional Organisation of Anti-Fascist Resistance Fighters and Victims of Nazi Repression (RROBAS) In Rostov, representatives of RROBAS as well as children and grandchildren of former prisoners laid flowers at the memorial to the victims of National Socialism in Pushkinskaya Street and honoured their memory with a minute's silence. Witnesses to the terrible events had also taken part in the event. They traditionally held a ‘roll call’ at the memorial - as the formation was called in the concentration camps - to count the survivors. Today, there are still four former prisoners in the RROBAS, but they no longer come to the roll call due to their age and poor health.
